Messiah 'Isa

In the Torah & Zabur (Old Testament) The Messiah's Coming was Foretold
The Seed of David Will Come to Reign Forever.
The Seed of Abraham Will Come to Bless all Nations.
The Seed of the Woman Will Come to Bruise the Serpent's Head.

The Messiah was promised from the seed of David 1000 years before the time of Jesus. In the Zabur, God said:

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established forever as the moon. (Psalm 89:35-37)

The Messiah was promised from the seed of Abraham 2000 years before the time of Jesus. In the Torah, God said to Abraham:

In your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. (Genesis 22:18)

The Messiah was promised from the seed of the woman at the time of Adam. In the Torah, God said to the serpent (devil):

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed: it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heal.
(Genesis 3:15)

In the Injil (New Testament), the Messiah's birth is recorded
THE MESSIAH, Jesus, Son of David, came from David's seed.
JESUS, the Messiah, Son of Abraham, Came from Abraham's Seed.
Jesus the Messiah, SON OF MARY, Came from the Woman's Seed.

To confirm God's promise to David, Jesus the Messiah was born. In the Injil, the Apostle Matthew wrote:

The book of the ancestry of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham. (Matthew 1:1) The Injil also affirms:

Has not the scriptures said that the Messiah comes from the seed of David? (John 7:42)

To confirm God's promise to Abraham, Jesus the Messiah was born. In the Injil, the Apostle Matthew wrote:

The book of the ancestry of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham. (Matthew 1:1) The Injil also testifies:

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, 'And to seeds,' as of many; but as of one, 'and to your seed,' which is Messiah. (Galatians 3:16)

To confirm God's promise to the serpent, Jesus the Messiah was born. In the Injil, the Apostle Matthew wrote:

Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was like this: When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with the child of the Holy Spirit . . . for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 1:18, 20)

In the Injil (New Testament) The Messiah's Purpose is Confirmed
Jesus, Son of David, was Born to Reign Forever.
Jesus, Son of Abraham, was Slain to Bless all Nations.
Jesus, Son of Mary, was Crucified to Destroy the Devil.

To confirm God's promise that David's seed will reign forever, the Injil records the words of the angel Gabriel to Mary:

You shall bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus. And the Lord God shall give to him the throne of his father David. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 1:31-33)

To confirm God's promise that all nations will be blessed in Abraham's seed, the Injil records that the Apostle John received a heavenly vision in which these words were spoken to Jesus the Lamb of God:

You were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. (Revelation 5:9)

To confirm God's promise that the woman's seed would bruise the serpent's head, the Injil records:
Jesus also himself took part of . . . flesh and blood . . . that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil. (Hebrews 2:14)
The Injil also records that Jesus ". . . was betrayed to be crucified" (Matthew 26:2), after " . . . the devil . . . put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray him." (John 13:2)

The Messiah (also called The Christ) means "the anointed", and refers to the man promised by God from David's seed to be an everlasting king with an everlasting kingdom.

Jesus means "God is salvation", and is the name of the man promised by God from Abraham's seed to purchase men for God from all nations with his own blood.

Son of Mary refers to the man promised by God from the woman's seed, conceived by God's Holy Spirit, and sent to destroy the devil by his death on the cross.
After his resurrection from the dead, the Messiah Jesus son of Mary was exalted to the right hand of God. The Injil says:

Wherefore, God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

To confess with the mouth that the Messiah Jesus is Lord not only brings glory to God but also brings salvation to those who believe that God has raised him from the dead. The Injil says:

That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

In the Koran, though the threefold purpose of the Messiah is never mentioned, Jesus is repeatecly called the Messiah Jesus son of Mary. The meaning and blessing of this triune name can only be found in the Torah and Zabur together with the Injil. In the Torah and the Zabur, all the prophets foretold the blessing that comes through the Messiah's name to those who belive in him. The Injil declares:

To him (the Messiah Jesus) give all the prophets witness, that through his name whoever believes in him shall receive forgiveness of sins. (Acts 10:43)

The Koran declares that the Torah, the Zabur, and the Injil were all given by God:

And surely we gave Moses the book (Torah). (Surah No. 4 Al-Baqarah:87)

. . . and we gave David the Psalms (Zabur). (Surah No. 4 An-Nisa:163)

And we sent following in their footsteps, Jesus son of Mary, confirming the Torah before him; and we gave to him the Gospel (Injil) which contains guidance and light, and confirming the Torah before it, as a guidance and an admonition for the pious. (Surah No. 5 Al-Ma'Idah:46)

Also, the Koran affirms that the scriptures given by God are protected from alteration or change by man:

No man can change the words of God. (Surah No. 6 Al-An'am:34)

There is no changing the words of God. (Surah No. 10 Jonah:65)

And, the Koran exhorts faithful Muslims to believe in the scriptures given beforetime:

O you who believe, believe in God and . . . the book that was revealed from before. (Surah No. 4 An-Nisa:136)
